We have been learning to make connections to the people and places that are important to us.

My Taonga is a little piece of pounamu .

I have chosen my Taonga because it reminds me of the time I went to Hokitika beach for my birthday.                        

The place I connect to is Hokitika because of the beach that I often visit with my father and family.                                   

I have been able to make other connections in the classroom with Blake and Simeon for different reasons. Blake with the beach and Simeon with the pounamu.
